    $100K in vandalism damage at Antelope school; Sacramento sheriff’s detectives arrest 10 teens

    Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives on Thursday arrested 10 teens suspected of participating in a series of acts of vandalism that caused nearly $100,000 in property damage over three months at Antelope Crossing Middle School .

    The teens found and arrested Thursday are among 12 minors identified as a suspects in the reported vandalism at the school on Palmerson Drive in Antelope, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced in a news release. Two of the underage suspects had not been found as of Thursday. The Sheriff’s Office did not release the suspects’ names because they are minors.

    The 12 suspects collectively face 106 felony charges, including 56 charges of burglary, 35 charges of criminal conspiracy and 11 charges of vandalism, along with one charge each of possessing a destructive device with the intent to intimidate someone and reckless or malicious possession of a destructive device.

    The vandalism was reported to the Sheriff’s Office six times at Antelope Crossing Middle School from April 19 through July 31.

    Sheriff’s officials said the agency’s Property Crimes Bureau launched “a comprehensive investigation.” Investigators reviewed hundreds of hours of video, questioned witnesses and analyzed collected evidence.

    The 10 teens found Thursday were arrested without incident and later booked at the Sacramento County Youth Detention Facility, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

    Sheriff’s officials said there are additional suspects who have not been identified, and more charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.

    10 punks = $10,000 apiece to the parents . 500 hours of community service for the punks plus 5 yrs. Probation….Break probation and it’s off to jail for 5 yrs.
