An estate built by casino mogul Steve Wynn has just set a record for the most expensive property ever sold on Lake Tahoe, according to Christine Perry, listing agent with Christies International Real Estate Sereno.

The stunning waterfront home on five acres, known as Old Forge , is surrounded by old growth forest and has 210 feet of privately owned sandy beach. The gated property — located on Billionaire’s Row at 1041 Lakeshore Blvd. in Incline Village, Nevada — fetched $62 million in a deal that closed Friday, Oct. 11.

“This generational home rarely comes on the market, and the discerning buyer recognizes the unparalleled value of such an extraordinary property,” Perry said in a statement. “This transaction marks a significant moment in Lake Tahoe’s luxury real estate landscape, setting a new benchmark for exclusive estates in the region.”

Built in 1994, the main residence on the property spans 12,661 square feet. A grand primary suite plus three en-suite bedrooms all come with sweeping lake views. The mansion has a deep-water pier, a boat hoist, a jet ski platform and two buoys.

The sellers were biotech company founder Nora Lacey and her husband, pathologist Dr. Michael Lacey.

The home was originally listed on Sept. 22, 2023 for $76 million. The price tag dropped in May to $68.9 million. The property went into escrow on Sept. 16, 2024.

The Laceys purchased the estate for $31 million in 2017, according to public property records. They reportedly invested about $5 million in renovations. After building the mansion, Wynn sold it for $17 million in 1998, property records show.

Highlights of the residence include a fitness and massage room with views, a gourmet kitchen that offers expansive lake and mountain vistas, a media room and a game room with a partial kitchen. Furthermore, there’s a wine room and an amazing great room opening out to 5,000 square feet of outdoor living space scream for entertainment opportunities.

The property has a three-bedroom guest house.
