The Sacramento Kings made a number of roster moves Friday after wrapping up preseason play with a 113-91 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday at Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

League sources told The Sacramento Bee the Kings waived Boogie Ellis, Skal Labissiere, Terry Taylor and Brodric Thomas.

In a subsequent move, the Kings signed Shareef O’Neal, the son of NBA legend and former Los Angeles Lakers great Shaquille O’Neal, as well as Antoine Davis and Drew Timme. All three players are expected to join the G League Stockton Kings.

Shareef O’Neal, 24, is a 6-foot-10, 220-pound power forward/center who went undrafted out of LSU in 2022. He last played for the NBA G League Ignite in 2022-23.

O’Neal was one of the top high school players in the nation at Crossroads School in Santa Monica before undergoing heart surgery during his freshman year at UCLA. He returned to play a reserve role at UCLA in 2019-20 before transferring to LSU, his father’s alma mater.

Timme went undrafted out of Gonzaga in 2023. He played for the G League Wisconsin Herd in 2023-24. He played for Sacramento’s summer league team in July, averaging 11.4 points and 4.4 rebounds.

Davis, another member of Sacramento’s 2024 summer league team, went undrafted out of Detroit Mercy in 2023. He played for the G League Rip City Remix last season, averaging 17.8 points per game, before being traded to the Stockton Kings in October.

Ellis appeared in three preseason games for the Kings. He averaged 9.0 points while shooting 41.7% from the field and 38.9% from 3-point range.

Labissiere, Taylor and Thomas also appeared in three preseason games for Sacramento. Labissiere averaged 1.3 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists. Taylor averaged 0.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists. Thomas averaged 0.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
