Saginaw man charged with ‘crime against nature’ with dog
SAGINAW, MI — A Saginaw man has been charged with a “crime against nature,” that of sexually abusing a dog. According to charging documents, 26-year-old Zachary J. Wittkopp on Dec. 12 committed an “abominable and detestable crime against nature with a canine dog.” As a result, prosecutors charged Wittkopp with the rare count of sodomy, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
Trump campaign sues Whitmer, Benson over using federal offices to register voters
The Republican National Committee and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign have sued Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, along with two federal agencies and other others, alleging that they improperly allowed Veteran’s Affairs medical centers and Small Business Administration offices to act as voter registration agencies.

Essexville teacher accused of inappropriate relationship with student will not be charged
ESSEXVILLE, MI — Prosecutors have declined to charge a former Essexville teacher alleged to have had an inappropriate relationship with a student. Essexville officials confirmed July 11 Bay County Prosecutor Nancy E. Borushko had relayed to them her decision not to issue criminal charges. As such, they were able to grant a Freedom of Information Act request seeking reports of police investigation into the matter.

MARSHALL, MI - A high earthen berm blocks a majority of the view into Ford’s BlueOval Battery Park Michigan as motorists pass along M-96. On Monday, July 8, MLive went skyward to take a birds-eye perspective of the rural mega site project. Crews could be seen hauling large amounts of dirt and others starting to erect the exterior walls of the 1.8 million-square-foot plant.
