Treasured up-north fishing spot to be saved in Pigeon River forest
WOLVERINE, MI – Steps are underway to save a beloved warm-water fishing spot in the Pigeon River Country State Forest. Officials announced efforts will begin next month to ultimately make repairs to a dam that creates the 161-acre Cornwall Creek Flooding, a treasured Up North recreation area for decades. This is a reversal in course for the state, which initially planned to permanently drawdown the flooding and remove the dam.

MARINETTE COUNTY, WI – One person was arrested near the Michigan border with $25,000 worth of meth.
