Bay County native named commander of Michigan State Police Tri-City Post

Michigan man convicted of threatening county prosecutor
EAST TAWAS, MI — An Oscoda man has been convicted of threatening his former landlord, who also happened to be the county prosecutor. An Iosco County jury on July 12 found Dominique J. Simo, 40, guilty of malicious use of a telecommunications device. The misdemeanor is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

ANN ARBOR, MI - Geoffrey Chatas took his first steps through the reddish rocks of the south rim at Grand Canyon National Park nearly 40 years ago. The Ann Arbor native and current University of Michigan chief financial officer, graduated from Georgetown University in 1985, before heading to Oxford University to earn his master’s degree in business administration.
