Jackets' Sheets makes his college choice

Two seasons ago, Lee County’s Luke Sheets felt he’d taken poor swings in a game, and immediately went to work after the game on fixing the issue, hitting off a tee for 45 minutes.

Then-head coach Jevon Wade had told Sheets he’d not done that badly, but Sheets insisted on getting the work in, and it paid off in the next game. Lee County faced one of the best teams from Ohio, and Sheets, a sophomore at the time, got the game-winning hit to beat a senior who now pitches for Ohio State.
