CCCC volley righting ship after slow start

Fans of high school volleyball in the area will easily recognize the names on the 2024 Central Carolina Community College roster.

Included on the roster are former Southern Lee players Johnna Lawrence, Parker Howard, Carley Marcum, and Kailey Edwards; former Lee Christian player Brianna Brown, former Grace Christian player McKensie Boyte, Chatham Central’s Abby Johnson, and Chatham Charter’s Ashlee Rains. While Lee County High School isn’t represented on the court, it is represented on the sideline, where Chandler Patterson Ellis moved over from coaching at Lee to taking over CCCC’s program this season, where she is assisted by another ex-Jacket in Marissa Thomas.
