When's the first day of school?: Chippewa County's back-to-school guide

CHIPPEWA COUNTY — Parents are busy with back-to-school shopping as schools across the region are getting ready for the first day of classes.

The 2024-25 school year kicks off early at Lake Superior State University, which begins classes on Aug. 26.

The schools opening on Sept. 3 are as follows:

• Sault Area Schools
• Pickford Public Schools
• Whitefish Township School District
• Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District
• Brimley Area Schools
• Lake Superior Academy
• Ojibwe Charter School
• Rudyard Area Schools
• St. Mary's Catholic School
