The staff of The Selma Times-Journal will host a Celebration of Life for James Kenneth Jones, who served as managing editor for the past six years, Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the newspaper office.

The office is located at 1018 Water Avenue in Selma, on the second floor of The Selma Times-Journal building.

Publisher Brent Maze said the public is invited to come by and share their memories with some of his family members and STJ colleagues of Jones.

“James meant so much to the community that we felt we needed to have a celebration for James here in Selma, although the family has already celebrated the home-going of him this weekend,” Maze said. “Anyone who knew and loved James is welcome to drop in and stay as long as you want to. Please feel free to come by and share your stories of James and honor his legacy.”

For more information, please call the STJ office at 875-2110.
