Elderly Woman Reportedly Decapitated After Allegedly Jumping From 28th Floor Of New York City Apartment Building

An unidentified elderly woman was reportedly decapitated after allegedly jumping from the 28th floor of an apartment building in New York City.

Here’s What Allegedly Happened To The Elderly Woman Who Was Reportedly Found Decapitated

According to The New York Post , the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the Park Regis Apartments in the Upper East Side of New York City on Saturday, October 12. New York City cops and witnesses reportedly told the outlet that the woman jumped from the 28th floor of the building.

Her body reportedly became entangled on the side of the building, leaving her decapitated.

“I pulled up just as she was laying there, she had no head,” a Park Regis resident reportedly told the outlet on Saturday.

Per the Daily Mail , the incident also occurred in front of “horrified wedding guests.”

“Everyone started rushing toward the body but she was gone,” another witness told reporters, per PEOPLE .

Here’s What Will Reportedly Happen Next In The Investigation

According to The New York Post , the New York Police Department has not released the woman’s identity. Additionally, the department has not publicly shared why the woman may have taken her life. Nonetheless, the NYPD has reportedly shared that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the woman’s cause of death, per Daily Mail .

“The investigation remains ongoing,” a statement from the NYPD reportedly asserted. “The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification.”

A 15-Year-Old Girl Was Recently Electrocuted & Decapitated By Power Lines

As The Shade Room previously reported, in August, a 15-year-old Guatemalan girl named Débora Rebeca Xi Artola made headlines. On August 1, Artola reportedly joined three of her friends on a rooftop. The group was reportedly dancing and taking photos when Artolo allegedly hit a “high-tension power cable.”

Subsequently, Artola was shocked and footage captured her body falling to the street below. Additionally, the 15-year-old was reportedly decapitated.

Ultimately, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to raise funds to launch a “legal process to make the people responsible” for the 15-year-old’s death “face justice.”

“The authorities in Guatemala have claimed that it was a negligence accident but multiple witness[es] disagree. Debora had to be pushed in order to reach the high voltage cables that severe her head and ended her life,” the campaign’s description read.

At this time, an update has not been publicly shared about the investigation into the tragic incident.
