A housing study, luxury townhomes, dementia care community — housing is a recent theme of recent Streetwise stories.

Here’s a glimpse of recent business news in the county.

Midway findings of new housing study indicate greater housing need

City Administrator Casey Bradley shared midway findings of a new housing study the city is conducting to update key points in the 2021 affordable housing market study.

Two large components include pulling updated data and consulting with major employers in the county.

The previous study used several data points from 2018 and didn’t include employer perspectives.

Among specific data points, the midway findings point to a greater need for housing than was previously projected.

Learn more about the takeaways here.

$24M luxury townhomes project and $13M dementia care community in the works. Plus, 52 Stafford is up for sale.

    • Dementia care community: Nonprofit organization Dementia Innovations is embarking on the $13 million Livasu Village project in the town of Wilson that could reimagine care and community options for individuals with dementia.
    • 52 Stafford up for sale: The historic hotel and pub in downtown Plymouth is up for sale, following its closure in December.
