GREENBUSH – More than 50 of the region’s top artists and craftsmen will be at Wade House Historic Site Aug. 25 for the 64th annual Arts & Crafts Fair.

The fair will run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with exhibitors offering paintings, sculptures, ceramics, mixed media, printmaking, jewelry, fiber art, glass, wood, leather, metal and photography.

Entry fee is $5 for adults and free for ages 5 and younger.

Along with paid admission to the fair, attendees will also get free admission to the entire Wade House Historic Site, including a horse-drawn vehicle ride from the historic area to the Wade House Visitor Center and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum; a guided tour of the stately, 27-room stagecoach hotel; a trip to the Herrling Sawmill to see and feel the rumble of an up-and-down, water-powered saw; and a journey to the blacksmith’s shop.

People attending should park off Center Street in Greenbush at W7824 Center Road, the location of the Arts & Crafts Fair. Guests are asked to not park at Wade House Visitor Center.

The outdoor celebration of the arts also features food with fare ranging from ice cream novelties to brats, burgers and apple cider donuts.

Proceeds from the event help support the educational and historic programming at Wade House Historic Site.

Wade House will host a pizza party Aug. 23

Ahead of the Arts & Crafts Fair, Wade House will also host a pizza party from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 23.

The event will celebrate founder Betsey Wade’s hospitality with freshly prepared homemade Marzano Pizza Company pies, live music, soft drinks, beer and wine at the site’s Visitor Center and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, W7965 State 23.
