    Alan Cumming, LabelˑLess and The Other Mozart: Kohler Foundation unveils lineup for 80th Distinguished Guest Series

    KOHLER – In the 80th year of the Kohler Foundation’s Distinguished Guest Series , the foundation will unveil untold stories that invite you to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes and celebrate humanity.

    The Distinguished Guest Series opens with the Tony Award winner, Emmy Award nominee and New York Times Best Seller Alan Cumming performing his new show, Alan Cumming: Uncut.

    Then, 98 Degrees star Drew Lachey and his wife Lea bring the new musical, LabelˑLess after their critically acclaimed previews in New York City.

    The storytelling season concludes with the Drama Desk-nominated performance of The Other Mozart, a theatrical performance that the New York Times calls “Strikingly beautiful.”

    All events will be at the Kohler Memorial Theatre, 260 School St., Kohler.

    The Distinguished Guest Series premiered in 1944 as part of the Kohler Women’s Club led by Ruth DeYoung Kohler. The club recognized the importance of having a strong arts presence and offering residents exposure to a variety of performance styles. And those philosophies are still at the forefront of the series, a news release said.

    Here’s a closer look at the 80th season.

    Alan Cumming: UNCUT

    Nov. 20, 7 p.m.

    Alan Cumming, the multi-hyphenate, multi-award-winning, multimedia mogul comes to Kohler with a new cabaret show, Alan Cumming: UNCUT, a revealing, hilarious and authentic performance with musical direction by Henry Koperski. Cumming is best known for a myriad of roles including his Tony Award-winning performance in Cabaret, the scene-stealing dance routine in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, as Eli Gold on The Good Wife, and now as the host of the thrilling reality show, The Traitors.

    LabelˑLess

    March 6, 2025, 7 p.m.

    It has never been easier to connect with others, yet our world has never been more divided. The struggle to understand and accept people who do not look the same, sound the same or think the same has never been more real. The new musical by Drew and Lea Lachey, LabelˑLess is the perfect vehicle to start the difficult conversations that need to be had. Whether discussing race, sexuality or mental health, LabelˑLess brings attention to topics in a way that everyone can understand and relate to. Encouraging everyone to “walk” a mile in someone else’s shoes. Using popular music, dance and personal stories, this cast of 18 draws attention to the struggles facing us while offering hope for a better, more accepting tomorrow.

    The Other Mozart

    May 8, 2025, 7 p.m.

    The Other Mozart tells the true, forgotten story of Nannerl Mozart, the sister of Amadeus — a prodigy who performed throughout Europe with her brother to equal acclaim, but her work and her story faded away.

    Sheboygan history: J.J. Koepsell was a plumbing wholesaler for years on Sheboygan's riverfront. Today, its former site is home to a future apartment complex.

    Tickets and ordering

    Season tickets go on sale on Aug. 28 and individual tickets are on sale on Sept. 12. Tickets are available online at kohlerfoundation.org or by calling 920-458-1972.
