SHENANDOAH – The Shenandoah Area Free Public Library conducted a Summer Reading Program entitled “Adventure Begins at the Library.”

The program was held each Monday during the month of July at the Public Library located on 19 West Washington Street.

The program is intended for youngsters from ages of 4-12 and was coordinated by Mary Matunis a teacher at Marian Catholic high school who provided students with fun crafts, games, and reading assignments.

Shown in photo is guest teacher Jill Chowanes, a Shenandoah Valley Elementary reading teacher who read to the students from one of the three books that she wrote the most reason entitled “A New Buddy for Monty.”

Should anyone be interested in purchasing any of her books, they are now available on Amazon.
