    SHENANDOAH – The Blue Devils continued their winning ways under the lights at Veterans Memorial Stadium Monday night.

    Shenandoah hosted Tri-Valley to open Schuylkill League Division 2 play.

    It was a scoring bonanza for the Devils, with five players finding the back of the net throughout the 9-1 rout.

    “I’m proud of these guys,” Head Coach John Burke said.

    Joan Menjivar led in scoring with a hat trick, while Sam Mentusky and Ayden Zamudio each contributed two apiece.

    Kevin Gasca and Johnny Burke added goals as well.

    The Blue Devils are on the road Wednesday at Schuylkill Haven for another league matchup against the Hurricanes.

    The junior varsity squad won 4-0.

    North Schuylkill 6, Pottsville 0

    FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – North Schuylkill opened Schuylkill League Division 1 play Monday, hosting the Crimson Tide of Pottsville.

    The Spartans defeated Pottsville 6-0.

    Zach Marcinowski led scoring with a hat trick. Fabrizio Mangianello, Wesley Urban, and Evan Damiter also contributed goals.

    Kaden Onuschak had the shutout in goal.

    The Spartans are on the road Wednesday in Northumberland County, facing Lourdes Regional.

    North Schuylkill’s JV team won 5-2.
