ASHLAND – An Ashland man is in Schuylkill County Prison after borough police there say he robbed the Turkey Hill convenience store at gunpoint Monday morning.

Teddy Fishburn, 31, of 1003 Brock Street, is wanted on felony robbery charges.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Ashland Police Chief Gerard Daley, police were called to the store around 7:30am Monday for a reported robbery.

Police were told a man had just robbed the store on Centre Street and fled via the alleyway behind the store.

The man was wearing all black, a black mask, and dark sunglasses.

He was known to the clerk as Fishburn, as the clerk had previously lived with the man.

Police said he came in, walked up to the counter, displayed a black pistol and told the clerk to “give me the money.” He then forcefully took $40 from the register and fled down Middle Street.

Surveillance video confirmed the clerk’s account of the incident.

Fishburn was arraigned Monday before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarentelli and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $100,000 straight bail.
