Mahanoy Area SD, Hazleton Police team up to gather supplies for hurricane relief efforts

MAHANOY CITY – Residents across our region are pitching in to help relief efforts in the southeast following hurricanes Milton and Helene.

The Mahanoy Area School District set out to help the Skook Road Trip Relief project and student Cameron Zubris reached out to the Hazleton City Police Department and both entities served as drop-off points.

“We anticipated our community and student body would help, but we had no idea how much,” Mahanoy Area said in a Facebook post.

Hazleton Police loaded donations into a van, dropped them off at the school, and students helped sort and re-load them for transport to the Fanelli Warehouse in Pottsville.
