She apologized before conducting an important interview for the network. On the latest episode of her "Calm Down" podcast, Andrews talked about covering the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Although they made it a game in the second half, "America's Team" was trailing 21-6 at halftime. Andrews admit that she apologized to Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy during her halftime interview with him. She ultimately felt bad asking him about the team's lackluster performance. The good news for Andrews is that McCarthy handled this situation like a total pro. He even told her that she has nothing to be sorry about. "But in terms of a team struggling on both sides of the ball, that is where we kind of earning our money as sideline reporters and feel bad if you have a heart as a broadcaster," <a href="https://awfulannouncing.com/nfl/erin-andrews-apologized-mike-mccarthy-cowboys.html" rel="nofollow"> Andrews explained, via Awful Announcing </a> . "Yes, it’s part of the job, it’s why these guys are paid. But standing in the hallway waiting for Mike McCarthy to come out after he addressed his team and trying to stop the bleeding on both sides of the ball in that Ravens-Cowboys game, I looked at him as he walked out and I said, ‘Coach, I am so sorry.’ And he goes, ‘Why are you sorry? This is your job.’ I loved him so much for that.
