Ohio State has opened the season by scoring 157 combined points against Akron, Western Michigan, and Marshall. It's hardly a daunting schedule for a program with championship aspirations. The Buckeyes will play their first of nine Big Ten battles when facing the Spartans at East Lansing. They're 24-point favorites, but the matchup represents a bit more of a litmus test for the nation's No. 3 team. "It's always about us," Day said. "We say that the opponent doesn't matter. But all that being said, going on the road against a conference opponent is a big deal."
