Williams' absences come after Aaron Rodgers called him out for his role in the interception that sealed the loss to the Buffalo Bills. “There’s two verticals, Allen (Lazard)’s down the seam, and Mike’s down the red line,” Rodgers said on Monday after the game, explaining his view of what went wrong on the interception. "So, I’m throwing a no look to the red line. Mike needed to get to the red line, which would’ve been a big gain, so I wasn’t calling Mike out for anything other than his responsibility in the details of that play." Williams appears to be upset about the result of the final play. With Adams coming in to essentially replace him, it doesn't appear that he'll get a chance to make up for his mistake from last Monday. The Jets will look to end their recent three-game losing streak this week in a Sunday night matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams is expected to play, making his Jets debut.
