"ECU head coach Mike Houston has been relieved of duties, per sources," <a href="https://x.com/StephenIgoe/status/1848007430673711310" rel="nofollow"> he reported. </a> Houston, who had been the program's head coach since 2019, was attempting to build back up the once great ECU Pirates football program. He went&nbsp;4-8 in 2019 and 3-6 in 2020. Then, in 2021 and '22, he posted back-to-back winning seasons, going 7-5 in 2021 and 8-5 in 2022. But the program went 2-10 last season and there's been another step back this season, as ECU is off to a disappointing 3-4 start to the year.
