How can the Paris Olympic opening ceremonies mock the last supper of Jesus Christ with drag queens and be seen as alright?
Why should children of all ages tuning in to watch athletes represent their countries have to watch men with beards dressed like provocative women dance around sexually?
This behavior is ridiculous but prophesied about in the Bible.
2 Peter 3:3 states: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers and those that mock — following after their own lust and fulfilling their own evil desires …”
A person’s sexual preference is personal and an individual choice. However, forcing others to agree with all forms of sexual desire is ridiculous and so is mocking the savior Jesus Christ, the only one capable of saving wretched sinners — heterosexual, homosexual or any other capital letter sinner.
Non-Christian groups scream tolerance and acceptance but show neither to the Christian. Jesus warned that the world would hate Christians because it hated him first. Even while being hated, we need to stand against — boycott if you will — any open mockery of our Lord.
These groups need to know that the Christian’s money matters too. Target’s revenue and sales declined when Christians stood up and said no. Several other retailers as well suffered dropping profits after Christians said, “Wait a minute.”
The Olympics ought to be ashamed for the organizers’ sick behavior. Don’t mock Jesus and think it’s OK — it’s really not. All the Jesus haters have a place they can hang out one day — a place that burns way hotter than the Olympic torch — or maybe they should try Jesus and see what and who he is.
After all the lust has let you down, give Jesus a chance to show you real love.
Either way, the level of disrespect needs to stop. People do your thing — label yourself whatever you want — but show the same respect to Jesus Christ followers as you do to other groups.
Christian men and women stand in the gap for these lost people like Abraham did for the few righteous found in Sodom. Jesus wants the lust-filled and evil to be saved too. America, we need to repent and return to reverential fear of the Lord.
