A make-up show in the Concert on the Common series on Wednesday will double as a pep rally for East Carolina University's home opening football game.

ECU head coach Mike Houston and members of the Pirate football team will be on hand during the 6 p.m. concert at the Greenville Town Common to get the crowd ready for Saturday’s game against Norfolk State at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, according to Inner Banks Media, the show's producer.

The concert will feature the Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band Tell Me Lies. The band was originally scheduled to perform on July 11 but the show was postponed due to inclement weather.

Tell Me Lies performs the music of Fleetwood Mac live and without backing tracks. The band's website says they use four-part harmonies and meticulous attention to detail to guarantee an unparalleled live experience.

The band will perform hit songs including Rhiannon, Don’t Stop, Landslide, Say You Love Me, Gypsy, Go Your Own Way, Sara, Tusk and, of course, Tell Me Lies.

“We are excited to have Coach Houston and some of the players join us to speak to the crowd and rally the Pirate faithful just a few days before they hit the field against Norfolk State to start the season,” said Henry Hinton, president of Inner Banks Media. “It should be a great night of music featuring those great Fleetwood Mac songs to which everyone can sing along.”

The event will feature food trucks on First Street and the Greenville Junior League will sell beer wine before and during the performance.

In Joy Thrift Stores will have a tent at the show to collect items for its “Stuff the Bus” charitable efforts. The store is asking fans to bring gently used personal items to be donated to area ministries to support needy families in the area.

Inner Banks Media stations include 107.9 WNCT, 103.7 WTIB, 94.3 The Game, Oldies 97.9/94.1 and 96.3 WRHT.
