Lin Yu-Ting is a big favourite as she goes up against Julia Szeremeta for Olympic gold in Paris tonight.

The Taiwanese boxer, like Imane Khelif , has faced accusations she should not be competing at the Olympics after claims from the International Boxing Association that she failed a gender eligibility test.

Lin, who has gold medals at the World Championships and Asian Games, eased past Esra Yildiz Kahraman in her semi-final and now has the chance to be crowned featherweight champion.

Poland’s Szeremeta is her final opponent, and the 20-year-old has insisted she is full of belief that she can pull off an upset against Lin.

“I'm not afraid of anyone,” Szeremeta said.

“I don't feel respect. I go out and do my thing. I can't wait for the final.
