A stalker has been jailed after following and filming two women after his relentless campaign was revealed through 100 videos found on his phone by detectives.

Shekhem Manning-Egeonwon, 20, from west Hendon pursued the women “night and day”, Harrow Crown Court heard.

He changed his plea mid trial to guilty after CCTV evidence from his mobile phone was presented in court that showed him following women.

Manning-Egeonwon was sentenced to 32 months in prison. He was also hit with a restraining order.

In September 2023, police had received a report that a man had been following a woman as she took her child to school in Barnet .

The victim, in her 30s, had been followed by Manning-Egeonwon for five months and alrted police.

She identified Manning-Egeonwon and he was detained on suspicion of stalking.

While Manning-Egeonwon was being arrested, another woman, aged 40s, approached officers telling them that she was also being followed by him.

More than 100 videos being recovered from the defendant’s mobile phone that showed not only the two victims, but more women being followed during day and night.

He had filmed them through windows in some cases.

Detective Constable Jas Brar investigating, said : “The scale of offending in this case was extreme. Manning-Egeonwon was stalking women day and night and in some cases approached them directly or knocked on their door.

“His actions were menacing and highly intrusive and caused extreme distress to the women he targeted. It is completely unacceptable that anyone should be afraid to leave their home for fear of this kind of harassment or that their sense of personal safety should be damaged in this way.

“I would like to thank the victims for supporting the investigation and sincerely hope that they can now move forward with a degree of confidence, knowing that Manning-Egeonwon is no longer free to roam the streets.”
