A fresh fitness concern hit Manchester City on the weekend.

Phil Foden missed the 4-1 win over Ipswich to join what is still a short injury list for the defending champions.

Savinho kept his place in the starting line-up after a knee issue but Rodri and Oscar Bobb missed out.

Here is your latest update of Man City injury news and return dates...

    Phil Foden

Illness kept Foden out of the team that faced Ipswich.

His absence allowed Ilkay Gundogan to step onto the bench and make his second debut for City.

Pep Guardiola did not offer any further update on Foden post-match but reports indicate a short spell on the sidelines with City next in action on Saturday.

Potential return date: August 31, vs West Ham

    Rodri

Rodri is in a race to be fit for the trip to West Ham.

Having picked up a hamstring injury in the Euro 2024 final, he was given an extended break and made a late start to pre-season training. Guardiola stated last week that he’s set for a gradual comeback .

The coach said: “He's getting better. He's not with the group. Maybe today partial training but it's not good.”

Potential return date: August 31, vs West Ham

    Oscar Bobb

Norwegian winger Bobb has undergone surgery on a broken leg which has put the buffers on what looked like a promising start to the season.

“It was in the training session and unfortunately he had a big impact and is injured,” Guardiola told reporters earlier this month. “He will have surgery and hopefully he will be well and we welcome him back as soon as possible in three, four months.

“We are so sad for him, but not because he was making an incredible pre-season, because that doesn’t matter, when [the] injury is a long time it is a problem and we’re looking forward to seeing him again as soon as possible. A good recovery as quick as possible and that’s all.”

    Potential return date: November/December 2024
