Manchester United misfit Antony could be set to leave the club on loan with Jose Mourinho ’s Fenerbahce interested in signing him.

Antony has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since his £82million move from Ajax in August 2022.

The 24-year-old has made just one appearance under Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag so far this season, as a late substitute during their 2-1 defeat at Brighton.

And according to The Sun, Antony has told United he wants to leave the club with Fenerbahce among a number of interested parties.

United are said to be keen to push through a loan deal with the Turkish transfer window open until Friday.

The Brazilian winger has fallen out of favour under Ten Hag despite the Dutchman playing a key role in his signing having managed him at Ajax.

He scored just three goals in 38 appearances for United last season and at one point went over a year without scoring at Old Trafford.

Antony is now well behind the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo in the pecking order and believes he needs a move to revitalise his career.

He could still have a future at United in time, with Ten Hag saying in July: “He [Antony] certainly showed that potential in the first month: he scored three times in his first three games.

“After that it became more difficult, last season was not good. But I am still convinced that he has the potential to play at this club.”
