Harry Kane marked his 100th England cap with two goals as interim boss Lee Carsley continued his 100 per cent start to life in the dugout with a 2-0 triumph over Finland .

Kane, who was presented with a golden cap by Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard ahead of kick-off, scored twice after the break to take his international tally to 68.

There were further positive signs for Carsley, as Trent Alexander-Arnold excelled again at right-back, while youngsters Noni Madueke and Angel Gomes impressed.

Here’s how Carsley’s side rated at Wembley...

    Jordan Pickford 6

One hairy moment in possession early on, then did not have a save to make.

    Trent Alexander-Arnold 8

England’s best player. Five or six stunning passes that carved the Finns open. Got an assist for one of his more routine passes thanks to Kane’s brilliant strike, then created the second with ball for Madueke.

    John Stones 6

Alert on the cover on the few occasions England were stretched.

    Ezri Konsa 5

One mistake almost gave Finland a chance on the counter. One brilliant pass inside the full-back. Off injured after awkward twist.

    Rico Lewis 7

Looked very comfortable at left-back, albeit untested defensively. Decision-making on the ball was excellent.

    Declan Rice 6

As in Dublin on Saturday, given licence to get forward. Combined nicely with Saka and Alexander-Arnold in first-half before fading. Robbed in own half for Keskinen chance.

    Angel Gomes 7

Handed a full debut after cameo off the bench in Ireland. Tidy in possession, albeit allowed plenty of time on the ball, and pressed intelligently.

    Bukayo Saka 7

Lively throughout the first-half and looked to have made the opener but Kane was flagged offside.

    Jack Grealish 7

Struggled to get involved in a tight game before half-time but better after the break. Clever shift made Gordon chance.

    Anthony Gordon 6

Positive as ever and repeatedly got to the byline. Was not afforded the same space to run in behind as against the Irish, though. Might have had a simple chance had Kane not taken header off him.

    Harry Kane 8

Presented with 100th cap ahead of kick-off and visibly desperate to make the occasion with a goal. Had one ruled out for offside before half-time, but both strikes in the second were terrific.

    Substitutes

    Levi Colwill (Konsa 61’) 6

Back in his preferred position after left-back role in Dublin. No problems.

    Noni Madueke (Saka 67’) 7

Sent on for his debut as reward for an excellent start to the season. Nice touch to set up Kane’s second.

    Eberechi Eze (Gordon 67’) 6

Went close a couple of times in another lively cameo.

    Marc Guehi (Stones 79’) N/A

    Jarrod Bowen (Kane 80’) N/A

Unused: Henderson, Pope, Maguire, Livramento, Gallagher, Mainoo, Gibbs-White
