    Home is…

The Barbican area — I live right next to it. It’s really chilled and quiet most of the time — apart from construction. I moved in around March. I was living at my mum’s place in Mayfair before. Prior to that I was living with four friends in Bermondsey.

    Where was your first flat?

Kentish Town. I lived in this really nice flat above Rankin’s studio, actually. I moved in there around four months before Covid — that was a bit of a f***ing experience, I’m not gonna lie. But it was good, I miss that flat.

    What was your first job?

My older brother James hooked me up with this backline warehouse storage unit. I was an assistant of a guitar tech and I’d have to go through huge shelves of amps, guitars, basses, keyboards — everything and just log them all into the computer, see what’s working and what needed to be fixed. Then come festival season, I’d have to box them all up and ship them to Boomtown, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, when that was still around.

Where would you recommend for a first date?

Soho is always really good fun. Cafe Boheme is fun. I like going to gigs as well. The George Tavern or The Windmill in Brixton, those are really good places … and cheap pints.

Which shops do you rely on?

I always see myself checking out APC and YMC. Whenever I walk past the store I’ll just pop in and have a little look. I don’t always buy anything, but those are two brands that I love, so I can’t resist going in.

    Favourite restaurant?

Cecconi’s is really nice. I used to go there for my birthday with my mum. It’s quite fancy, but it’s really good.

What would you do if you were Mayor of London for the day?

I’d lower the price of pints. Definitely. Go back to the good old days of them being a fiver. I think that’s a pretty round number.

Most iconic Londoner? David Bowie (Redferns)

    Most iconic Londoner?

David Bowie. He was just a fashion icon and his music was basically my childhood. My mum would always play it. Just him as a person has always resonated with me.

    What do you collect?

Probably shoes. I’m always buying them — adidas, Converse. Anything that I see my friends wearing as well, I’m just like, awww I want that. They get mad that I’m copying them but you know… The last pair I got were the Puma x Aries Mostro ones. They’re f***ing wicked.

What’s the best thing a London cabbie has ever said to you?

Not to be rude, but I just usually put my headphones in.

Lennon’s parents Liam Gallagher and Patsy Kensit in 1996 (FilmMagic, Inc)

    Who is your hero?

My mum and my dad [ Patsy Kensit and Liam Gallagher ]. Both of them. I got a work ethic from them for sure. They’re both really hard-working people and seeing them in their respective fields, it definitely did instil some responsibility to work and really put your all into it. I couldn’t ask for better parents.

Have you ever had a run-in with a London police officer?

You don’t want me to answer that. No comment.

Where do you go to let your hair down?

I always go to The Windmill. Even when I’m bored and there’s nothing on. My bandmates work there, and I have friends behind the bar so I’m always going to run into someone who’s fun to talk to and hang out with.

    What’s your biggest extravagance?

I buy clothes. I don’t really buy jewellery. The best extravagance I can think of is a really nice matcha coffee in the morning. It’s a small thing, but it’s a sweet thing, you know.

The cat at Seven Stars (Seven Stars)

    What’s your London secret?

The Seven Stars. It’s a really nice pub and they have the most adorable cat that works there according to the bar staff. It’s just like a nice small boozer.

What are you up to at the moment for work?

Fashion Week’s just ended, which was pretty mental. The highlight was going to the Burberry show with the family: my mum, cousin, brother and sister. It was sick. With the band, Automotion, we’ve got the single coming out on October 16 which I’m really excited about. We have a European tour in October playing Rotterdam, Paris and Rennes. Then we’re supporting a band called the Gurriers all across the UK — that’s gonna be so fun. I play guitar and share vocals with the other guitarist Jessie. The sound is rooted within rock. It’s heavy, it’s melodic, it’s abrasive at moments. Music that I like.

Which game or podcast are you currently obsessed with?

I don’t know why I’ve got back into Minecraft. Then there’s this podcast called Almost Friday which is a comedy one. I listen to that when it comes out each week. It’s just stupid and fun but I enjoy it.

What’s your favourite work of art in London?

Francis Bacon stuff is fantastic. A few years ago I went to the RA exhibition they had on there and yeah, it was great. I can’t reel off an actual painting name, though.
