NEW BEDFORD — The stage is set for the 2024 Country Club of New Bedford Women’s Four-Ball finals.

And it’ll be a repeat of last year with Susan Sylvia and Christine Torpey squaring off against Kim Walecka and Denise Belanger on Friday morning at 9:20 a.m.

Two-time defending champs Sylvia and Torpey have the opportunity to make history by becoming the first ever to win three straight CCNB Women’s Four-Ball titles.

Sylvia and Torpey defeated Deborah Hynes and Terry Garrett 1 up in Thursday’s semifinal round to reach the championship.

Walecka and Belanger were 4 & 3 winners over Rochelle Pelletier and Sue Rebeiro in the other semifinal.

A year ago, Sylvia and Torpey rallied back after being down three to pull out a thrilling 3 and 2 victory over Walecka and Belanger.
