New Burrito spot hits Acushnet
Blackjack’s Burritos has officially opened in Acushnet and has plenty of delicious menu options. Order burritos like the Buffalo Mac N Cheese ($15) with crispy buffalo chicken, mac and cheese, and blue cheese; the Krispy Kings Tacos ($13) a soft taco filled with crispy chicken, cheese, lettuce, and a royal, sauce; or the Saint George Quesadillas ($15) with 3 year aged São Jorge cheese and linguica. These unique twists on the classics will cure anyone’s hunger at 161 S Main St., Acushnet.
Asian flavors hit the menu
There’s a new Asian-inspired menu at Mey Breakfast that is sure to hit all the right notes. Try the Nime Chow which is a steamed spring roll wrapped around Thai basil, bean sprouts, lettuce, cucumbers, rice noodles, and shrimp for $4.50; Egg Rolls filled with chicken, cabbage, carrots, onion, and taro for $5; Fried rice with corn, carrots, peas, scallions, eggs, and your choice of meat; Lo Mein with Chinese broccoli, carrots, and your choice of meat; or a Papaya Salad for $9. These tasty dishes are waiting for you at 16 Main St., Fairhaven.
Pop-Up Market
In their journey to create a vibrant retail and local food education center Coastal Foodshed is now offering a Market at Coastal Foodshed's Farmer Food Hub. You will be able to shop a delicious selection of locally sourced fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, cheese, eggs, and local meats. The Pop-Up Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday at Kilburn Mill, 127 Rodney French Blvd., New Bedford on the first floor.

Halloween treats are coming out early
You can head over to Cafe Arpeggio New Bedford to get your pre-Halloween treat with their Spooky Spice Latte. This tasty drink features marshmallow ghosts with a pumpkin spice latte topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. Start your morning off with a taste of fall at 800 Purchase St., New Bedford.
Elevated breakfast and lunch
There are some new items hitting the menu at Mimi’s Kitchen at 130 Nauset St., New Bedford. Try the Bifana sandwich with tender marinated pork, flavorful spices, and a hint of tanginess; a crispy empanada filled with mouthwatering cacoila; a Meatball and Provolone Omelette; or the Chunky Monkey Waffle.
Wednesdays are for clam boils
At Mikey B's , you can get a savory clam boil on Wednesdays for just $19.99. Dig into a quart of fresh Maine steamers with sausage, chourico, hot dog, potatoes, onion, and corn-on-the-cob. Make your hump day a little better by heading over to 989 Victoria St., New Bedford.
