    If you live in the Greater New Bedford area, scallops are sure to be one of your favorite proteins. They may be your usual order, or they may be a special occasion treat. Either way, you know you are having a delicious meal.

    Although you don’t need a reason to indulge in this gem from the sea, it’s National Fried Scallops Day on Wednesday, Oct. 2 — the best day to order them.

    There is no shortage of these tender medallions around the SouthCoast area, fried scallops are on the menu at many of your favorite restaurants.

    We’ve taken the guesswork out of where to order yours in celebration of National Fried Scallops Day but compiling a list of places for you to try.

    9 must try places for scallops how did the seafood hut make it here,tried them labor day weekend food was horrible .
