Dinner on Main, a farm-to-table collaborate between local restaurants and the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce, will return Sept. 21 to downtown Albemarle.
This is the first time for new Chamber President Erica Church to be involved with the event.
“We are thrilled to partner with local business owner Dr. Connie Eckman again this year for Dinner on Main,” Church said. “Dinner on Main is a wonderful opportunity to highlight our chamber member businesses and for the community to come together and support our vibrant local restaurants, farms, bakeries, breweries and wineries. We are so appreciative of our sponsors who continue to support the event and invest in the Stanly Chamber.”
Eckman, organizer of the event, spoke of how Church “has been making great friends in the community and acquiring sponsorships for the event.”
Eckman talked about some of the contributors for this year’s Dinner on Main.
“Christine’s Wood Fire has been making the news quite a bit, and they will be doing the entree and veggies,” she said. “Chamber members Juneberry Ridge will be doing a salad with their locally raised produce and new this year but long-time Chamber member Badin Inn will provide a delectable grazing table and soup during our social hour. Jennifer Owen from Badin has also used Brown Creek Creamery for her cheeses. Brown Creek has been our cheese vendor since the very first Dinner on Main.
“Albemarle Sweet Shop and Sassy Cakes, also Chamber members, will provide our desserts. Coffee was new to the dinner last year and this year, chamber member Connie’s Coffee & Cafe will provide some tasty brew for the evening.”
Eckman said meat vendors are yet to be determined.
Appetizers and drinks may be enjoyed beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Appetizers, salad, a main course and dessert are available with locally-sourced ingredients in a dining under the stars atmosphere.
Early bird pricing is $75 per person, including wine and beer, through Friday. Tickets after Aug. 16 are $80 per person.
Proceeds help fund the Chamber’s small business programs.
For more information on participating, contact Erica Church at erica@stanlychamber.org or 704-982-8116.
