Easton High School Class of 1956 celebrated its 68th class reunion Wednesday, Sept. 18, with a wonderful luncheon at the Chesapeake Landing Restaurant in St. Michaels.

The event was composed of 19 classmates, with a total of 29 persons attending the reunion.

Brad Baker was master of ceremonies for the occasion. Drinks and cocktails, along with a table set with delicious hors d’oeuvres, were offered to the attendees. Dick Morris offered the opening prayer before the luncheon, and later waitresses visited everyone who then selected their favorite entree from the restaurant’s menu.

Morris later sang one of his favorite songs, “Old Friends.” Bill Eason gave an interesting presentation about his 40 years of growing sunflowers. He also decorated each table with a bouquet of sunflowers and presented each attendee with a sunflower to carry home with them.

A Memorial Service conducted by Mary Reeser and Claire Blades was held remembering 12 deceased members of the class who had died since the last reunion was held in 2021.

Afterwards, plenty of time was afforded for everyone to visit and chat with other classmates.

During the meeting, it was unanimously voted by the class to hold the next reunion in two years to celebrate the 70th year since high school graduation.
