Perennial league powers Thomas A. Edison and Tioga Central captured Interscholastic Athletic Conference softball titles Thursday at Wells College in Aurora.

Edison took the Large School championship, 9-3, in the doubleheader's nightcap.

Tioga was a 5-4 walk-off winner over Union Springs in the Small School final.

Edison broke a 1-1 tie with five runs in the third inning on the way to securing the program's first IAC championship since going back-to-back in 2018 and 2019. Edison was Large School champ in 2018 and overall IAC champion in 2019 after the league re-aligned to crown a single champion that year.

Senior ace Gabby Milazzo tossed a three-hitter for Edison. She struck out 12 and walked one. All three runs she surrendered were unearned on a day Edison committed three errors. Lansing, which lost 14-1 to Edison on April 1, had five errors.

Milazzo added a 3-for-3 effort at the plate.

Also for Edison (14-3), Emily Aiello was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Emma Maggs contributed a single and an RBI while Kailey Ripley, Maycie Bennett and Maddison Pack each doubled and drove in a run. Bri Korsky had a hit and two runs from the leadoff spot.

Piper Mason singled and drove in a run for Lansing. Isabelle Gustafson scored twice.

Williams' hit won it for Tioga

McKenzie Williams drove home RaeAnne Feeko with a one-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Tioga (15-2) the Small School title.

Union Springs rallied to tie the score with runs in the sixth and seventh innings. An RBI double from Paityn Delaney (3-for-4) knotted the score 4-4.
