High school football in the Elmira-Corning region: Complete coverage in 2024

High school football teams from Section 4 begin play with Week 0 contests the weekend of Sept. 5 and 6. By next weekend, all teams will be in regular-season action.

The season culminates Dec. 6 and 7 with state championship games in five classifications at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse.

Section 4 has had at least one state champion in all but one season in which a tournament was held since 2011.

Last year Waverly (Class C) won its first state title and Tioga Central (Class D) earned a third straight championship. Maine-Endwell made it to the Class B championship game.
