Vote now: Who is The Star Press' IU Health Athlete of the Week for April 29-May 4?

It's time again to vote for The Star Press East Central Indiana high school Athlete of the Week sponsored by IU Health.

The two-time reigning Athlete of the Week is Kayla Porter of Daleville girls track and field after she received 1,693 votes (89.423%) last week. This week brings us more nominees for Athlete of the Week for April 29-May 4. Please submit nominees via email to clindskog@gannett.com so they can be included in next week's poll.

Voting will remain open below until Friday at noon.

• Leo Boyd, Muncie Central boys track and field : He scored 32 points in the NCC Championship meet leading the team to a 2nd place finish. He won and earned all-conference honors in the 110 hurdles, 100 dash, and 300 hurdles.
• Eli Chamberlain, Monroe Central boys track and field : The senior was the Randolph County champion in the 1,600, 800 and 3,200 runs. He also was part of the third-place 4x800m relay team. He scored 25 of the Bears’ 109 points as the team won its fourth consecutive Randolph County Championship.
• Nick Cook, Wapahani boys track and field : He recently won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 races at the Delaware County Track Championships hosted by Delta.
• Carter Duncan, Monroe Central baseball : The senior went 5-for-8 and posted a .727 on-base percentage last week as he recorded three RBIs and stole four bases.
• AnnMarie Gibson, Wapahani girls track : She won the 3,200 at the Delaware County Track Championships and continues to excel in multiple events.
• Shenandoah girls track 4x400 relay : Brooklynn Vanbuskirk, Kayci Hill, Lyddia Waggener and Grace Lee broke the school record by running a 4:21.17 at the Tiger Booster Invitational. Old record was 4:23.24.
• Nicki Southerland, Delta girls track : She won the 400, 800, 1,600 and the 4X400 relay in last week’s County Track and Field meet.
• Brayden Swoveland, Blue River Valley boys track and field: He has broken two school records in the past two weeks. One was a 43-year-old record in the high jump of 6 feet, 4 ¾ inches. During Friday’s Hagerstown Invitational, he broke a 13-year-old record in 300 hurdles with a time of 41.08.
• Cohen West, Monroe Central boys golf: The sophomore led his team in winning the Randolph County Championship shooting a 4-over par round of 76. He won the individual champion honors as well. The team shot a 321 and won county by 77 strokes over 18 holes.
