Muncie man accused of battering ex-girlfriend, threatening to kill her

MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man with a history of domestic violence allegations has been accused of forcing his way into his former girlfriend's home, attacking her and threatening to kill her.

Larry Jordan Foster Jr., 28, was being held in the Delaware County Jail on Tuesday under a $60,000 bond, preliminarily charged with aggravated battery, burglary while armed with a deadly weapon, domestic battery and intimidation.

According to an affidavit, a 25-year-old local woman told city police that Foster early Saturday entered her south-side home, punched her repeatedly in the head and face, and held a handgun to her head, saying he intended to kill her.

The woman — who officers said had a bloody nose and a swollen face — also said that while in her home, Foster struck a 1-year-old boy, leaving a bruise on his head.

She was treated for her injuries at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Investigators said Foster entered the house through a child's bedroom window.

Foster was arrested early Sunday. The Delaware County prosecutor's office will determine whether formal charges will be filed.

The Muncie man was already set to stand trial Oct. 8 on 10 charges filed against him in January in Hamilton Superior Court 3: eight counts of domestic battery, along with invasion of privacy and auto theft.

Foster also faces misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy, resisting law enforcement and criminal mischief in pending Muncie City Court cases.

According to court records, he has been convicted of crimes including domestic battery, battery resulting in bodily injury and interference with the reporting of a crime.
