There’s a new place to satisfy your snack cravings in a busy area of West Columbia.

Que! Bueno Neveria and Snack Bar, which has ice cream and a number of Mexican treats, recently opened at 2213 Augusta Road. That’s in the Georgetown shopping center near the intersection of Augusta Road and Dreher Road, about a mile east of Interstate 26.

The storefront where the ice cream shop is located was formerly home to Love-A-Cup Bakery .

The Que! Bueno restaurant name is likely familiar to diners in the Midlands. The company has two full-service Mexican eateries in the area — one on Broad River Road in Irmo and another on North Lake Drive in Lexington . Now the company is trying a different concept on Augusta Road, focusing on ice cream and other goodies.

“It has been an incredible journey being able to share with everyone our family restaurants and recipes throughout the years,” Que! Bueno said in a recent Facebook post announcing the West Columbia opening. “We thrive to give you great food and service. You will not be disappointed on trying our new Mexican Ice Cream Shop.

“You will enjoy the taste of Mexico with a variety of delicious snacks like, corn on the cob (esquites), fresas con crema , biónicos, fresh fruit, banana splits, freshly made Mexican aguas frescas , and so much more!!”

The neveria is in a bustling commercial area. Additional businesses in the Georgetown shopping center include Moe’s Southwest Grill, Tokyo Grill and Dunkin’ Donuts, among others. There are also other well-known retailers nearby, including Chick-fil-A, Planet Fitness, Hobby Lobby, Walmart and more.

About 38,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Augusta Road, according to state Department of Transportation data .
