Man found stabbed to death after fight with family member on SC highway, coroner says

A Trenton man was stabbed to death near Edgefield Highway Friday evening, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office .

Just after 6 p.m. the coroner’s office was called to the 2700 block of Edgefield Highway near Johnston Highway after the body of a white male was found on the highway.

There was reportedly an domestic altercation between a man and a family member at the home when he was stabbed.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene and will be autopsied in Newberry next week. His name was not released.

The coroner’s office and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
