A deli that has long been a favorite in Columbia has opened a second location in the Midlands.

No Name Deli, which has been delighting customers at a shop near Elmwood Avenue since the 1970s, has debuted its new location at 4712-A Forest Drive in Forest Acres.

The deli announced the opening in a Tuesday post on Facebook.

“This location offers the same great deli classics you know and love, continuing our commitment to quick + quality service,” the business posted. “Open 7 days a week, 10AM-3PM, this new location offers patio seating & plenty of parking!”

An official ribbon-cutting for the business is scheduled for Oct. 29.

The original No Name Deli is at 2042 Marion Street, near busy Elmwood Avenue, and dates to 1973. Ownership of the restaurant changed hands a few years ago, with restaurateurs Jon Sears and Chris Davis — owners of several eateries and bars in Columbia, including Main Street’s Hendrix — taking the reins.

No Name Deli’s menu features burgers, reuben sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, soups and more. The spot is also known for its pimento cheese, chicken salad, egg salad and tuna salad, which can be purchased as a side or by the pound at the new location.

The new No Name has opened in a bustling corridor in Forest Acres. About 28,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Forest Drive, per state Department of Transportation traffic count data.
