Why are you running for the Legislature?

I’m running for the South Carolina Legislature to bring strong, principled and transparent representation rooted in faith, family and freedom to District 93. I believe in holding government accountable, standing boldly for the values that shape our great state and serving with courage to ensure a brighter future for our community and the State of South Carolina. My promise to the citizens of District 93 is to bring their voices to the statehouse, always putting their needs first.

If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during the next Legislative session?

Fiscal responsibility by scrutinizing the state’s budget to ensure that our tax dollars are being utilized correctly. Tax reform to ensure that the citizens of South Carolina keep more of their hard-earned money. Upholding our state constitution to ensure that our freedoms are not compromised.

Why should voters in District 93 vote for you? What makes you different?

We must stand up and stand out against the nepotism and cronyism that plague our governing bodies. I will not allow myself to be embodied in corruption. I stand for ‘we the people.’ I am unbought and unbossed, committed to answering only to the people of District 93. I vow to be the change we need and the voice the citizens deserve. I promise to be available and approachable to my constituents at all times, not just during the legislative session. I believe in true servantry and the sacrifices I will make while in representing District 93 are small compared to the joy of seeing our communities and our people thrive.

Why are you running for the Legislature?

For too long, the voice of the South Carolina worker has gone unheard and unneeded in the halls of the General Assembly. I’m running to change that.

If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during the next Legislative session?

    1) Fix our roads.

    2) Fund our schools.

    3) Pay us what we’re worth!

Why should voters in District 93 vote for you? What makes you different?

I understand the working class because I am working class. You can’t solve 21st century problems by re-electing the 20th century politicians that created them! It’s time to move beyond “Red vs. Blue” and work together to move forward.

If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during the next legislative session?

To improve the lives of the citizens of Orangeburg, Calhoun and Lexington counties through the expansion of better opportunities in 1) education; 2) smart economic development and job growth; and 3) improve the overall quality of life through better affordable housing and healthcare.

Why should voters in District 93 vote for you? What makes you different?

My years of experience, knowledge of the process and track record of effectively working across partisan political lines to get important legislation passed that has been of benefit to the citizens of South Carolina, including First Steps, financial literacy, school safety, support of K-12 and higher education and small business background hopefully will make me a favorable choice for voters.
