Why are you running for House District 69?

To represent the the working people of District 69 in Lexington County.

If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during the next Legislative session?

Continue to work on infrastructure needs, and criminal justice/law enforcement issues.

What do you think voters in District 69 need most and how are you going to deliver for them?

District 69 is one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Therefore, we need to continue to work on getting a handle on the growth and work on the infrastructure to support that growth. I will continue to work for Lexington to grow our county in the most responsible manner possible, while maintaining the quality of life that has attracted so many to our area.

Why are you running for House District 69?

When I look at the state of the communities in our state I can see how the continued polarization of the two major political parties has contributed to a great divide that now exists. I am running to help heal this division, so that all the voices in the district can be actively represented. We need to learn to communicate and live together in peace again.

If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during the next Legislative session?

    1) Labor licensing reform. The barriers to entry into numerous markets across the state are currently artificially inflated in what amounts to a pay-to-play system. If elected, I will work to lessen and eliminate these barriers so that the budding entrepreneurs of the state can more readily enter the market place. 2) Ending corporate subsidies. Recently, the Legislature approved a $1.3 billion transfer of taxpayer funds to Scout Motors. That $1.3 billion came with a guarantee of less than 40 jobs. We need to stop taking money out of the pockets of the citizens of South Carolina and handing it over to private corporations.

What do you think voters in District 69 need most and how are you going to deliver for them?

The voters in District 69 need to rebuild our sense of community and cooperation. Half of the district is currently suffering from under representation. The interests of the entire district are being sidelined by yet another proponent of the uniparty in Columbia. I am not beholden to either of the major parties. If elected, I will work actively to accurately represent the voices of all the citizens residing in the district. It is the people that matter and not the whims and agendas of the two major parties.
