A pedestrian was struck Friday morning by a vehicle that crashed into a Myrtle Beach area CVS.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a commercial property in the 500 block of International Drive at 9:59 a.m., according to a Facebook post.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the post.

The vehicle’s occupants were temporarily confined before being safely removed.

Crews are working to remove the vehicle from the building.

The building is the CVS located at 578 International Drive. The store is temporarily closed but customers can still pick up prescriptions through the drive-thru.

A person answering the phone at the store referred questions to its corporate office.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
