What’s going on with this year’s Carolina Country Music Festival? Is it even happening this year? If so, when can I buy tickets?

Festival organizers have yet to answer those questions as of Tuesday afternoon.

By this time last year ticket sales for the summer festival were already well under way, according to social media posts from CCMF. Tickets first went on sale in July 2023 for the 2024 concert.

With the rise of inflation across the United States, live concerts and music festivals have been getting canceled all across the country, a recent report from National Public Radio’s Planet Money said.

Data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the Consumer Price Index was up by 0.2% for August 2024, marking an overall increase in how much things cost.

According to CCMF’s website, next year’s festival dates are reserved from June 5 to 8, 2025, which marks the ten year anniversary for CCMF. No other announcements about the pending festival have been made as of Tuesday afternoon.

Last year, some of the biggest names in county music performed in downtown Myrtle Beach to a sold out crowd. They included Carrie Underwood, Morgan Wallen and Megan Moroney.

By Oct. 13, 2023, tickets for the 2024 festival had already sold out, according to a CCMF press release. Early bird tickets for the 2024 festival were released on July 21 of that year, another press release said.

The most recent announcement from festival organizers was on June 9 announcing the dates for next year.

The lineup for the 2025 dates hasn’t been announced as of Tuesday morning. Last year, the lineup was announced in March.

Attempts to reach individuals from CCMF or the independent marketing agency they employ, WhirlWind Creative out of New York City, were unsuccessful.

“Thank you so much for your email, stay tuned to our social media and website for all things 2025 CCMF,” an automated email reply said. “We can’t wait to celebrate 10 years with y’all! Please let us know if you have any further questions and we are happy to assist you.”

Besides the festival dates for 2025, the CCMF website has yet to be updated for next year’s festival, with many pages referencing the 2024 event.
