    SC resident claims in suit that a game at Dave & Buster’s fell on them while playing it

    An Horry County resident is suing a Myrtle Beach entertainment business, claiming that a game fell on them while they were playing it.

    La’Nisha Hemingway filed the suit against Dave & Buster’s , 1322 Celebrity Circle, claiming that on Oct. 27, 2022, while playing the game, the game was not fastened to the floor and leaned forward, pushing Hemingway to the ground.

    An email sent to Dave & Buster’s corporate offices was not immediately returned.

    Hemingway claims to have suffered injuries requiring medical treatment and expenses from the incident.

    The suit filed Sept. 23 claims that business was negligent in making sure the maintaining the premises and making sure it was safe.

    The suit is asking for an awarding of damages against the business.
