Macon restaurant announces abrupt closure. It’s the third closure at same location

Another Middle Georgia restaurant has abruptly closed its doors.

Marrow 41 announced via social media Tuesday that it was closed effective immediately.

The eatery, which was in Bolingbroke in a charming house at the end of Alexander Court, is the third restaurant to close at the location.

The restaurant said in a Facebook post that the decision wasn’t made easily.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce Marrow41 will be closed effective immediately. This decision wasn’t easy, and we’ve cherished every moment serving you and being a part of this incredible community,” the post read.

The post went on to thank everyone for their support over the years.

Marrow 41 opened in April 2021 with seating for about 50 guests. The restaurant’s website boasted it served the best southern dishes made from the freshest fruits and vegetables, the finest meats, seafood and poultry Middle Georgia has to offer.

According to the website, the restaurant’s mission statement was to build locally with its menu using ingredients from Ula Farms and Blanche Farms.

Menu items included fried catfish, deviled eggs, brisket sandwich, fried pimento cheese bites and more. The restaurant also offered several wines, signature cocktails, extensive bourbon menu and 20 draft beer taps.

In addition, live entertainment was a staple at Marrow 41.

“Thank you for being part of our story,” the owners said on Facebook. “We’ll treasure the memories forever and hope our paths cross again in the future.”
