    Shooting in a Macon neighborhood leaves a teenager dead, coroner’s office confirms

    A 19-year-old was shot to death in a Macon home Wednesday morning, the Bibb County Coroner’s Office confirmed.

    DeMario Markell Jackson was “found unresponsive” in a house in the 4400 block of Pinedale Drive. He suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene around 10:10 a.m. by Dep. Coroner Luann Stone.

    The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was still investigating the crime scene around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
