A teen is accused of starting a fire at a Middle Georgia high school Monday, and is connected to a burglary at the site weeks earlier, according to the Warner Robins fire and police departments.

The 15-year-old boy allegedly broke into Warner Robins High School, “damaged several areas ... and intentionally started a fire,” according to an initial investigation, WRPD said in a news release. The incident was being investigated as arson, according to the police department.

A detective identified the teen was linked to another burglary at the school on Aug. 29.

Anyone with information related to either incident has been urged to contact detectives at easmith@wrga.gov or 478-302-5380.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
